Nora Fatehi Opens Up About Filmmakers’ Casting Preferences: ‘They Seem to Favor Just Four Girls for Lead Roles’

Nora Fatehi, the talented actress known for her mesmerizing dance numbers in Bollywood, recently addressed the issue of not landing lead roles in films. In a candid interview with News18, she clarified that she doesn’t believe her dance skills are the reason for this. According to Nora, many iconic heroines in Bollywood have been excellent dancers, and dance has been a significant aspect of their star power.

She pointed out that filmmakers seem hesitant to take a chance on her for lead roles. They appear to be waiting for someone else to take the first step and prove her potential in various aspects, including acting skills, screen presence, aura, and language proficiency. Nora feels that once someone takes that leap of faith and she proves herself, other opportunities will come her way.

Nora also discussed the current competitive nature of the industry, with only a limited number of films being made each year. She expressed her frustration with the fact that filmmakers often stick to the same set of actresses and don’t explore beyond that circle. As a result, only a few actresses keep getting project after project, and it becomes challenging for others to break into that exclusive group.

The talented actress is grateful for her upcoming project, where she will be a part of Varun Tej’s highly-anticipated Telugu film titled VT14. Nora is no stranger to the Telugu film industry, as she previously made her debut with a song in Jr NTR’s Temper back in 2015.

Nora Fatehi remains positive and focused on proving herself in all aspects of acting and hopes to gain more opportunities in lead roles. Her determination and hard work are evident as she continues to strive for success in the competitive world of Bollywood.
